HPPSC Medical Officer 2026 – 228 Posts, Apply by 16 Oct

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released Advertisement No. 62/9-2026 for recruitment of Medical Officer (General Wing) (Job Trainee), Group-A posts in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Himachal Pradesh.

A total of 228 vacancies have been notified. Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) opened on 19 September 2026. The last date to submit the application and pay the examination fee is 16 October 2026 (11:59 PM). Age is calculated as on 1 January 2026.

Eligibility and pay

• Recognised MBBS (or equivalent medical degree) with compulsory internship completed
• Valid medical registration as required in the notice
• Job Trainee pay about ₹34,000 per month (fixed), as notified
• Application fee ₹600 (online); category / domicile rules as per HPPSC notification

Selection

Selection comprises a written screening test followed by a personality test for shortlisted candidates. Reservation and sub-category breakup (including Ex-Servicemen, PwD and Wards of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh) are given in the official advertisement. Candidates should complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the HPPSC portal before applying to the live advertisement.
