The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) has invited online applications under Advertisement No. Admn/Rectt/2026/36 (dated 22 September 2026) for engagement of Academic Associates on a purely contractual basis to support teaching, research and academic administration.

A total of 15 posts are available across seven academic areas. Eligible candidates must apply online on or before 13 October 2026 (5:00 pm) through the Institute careers page. Only Indian citizens are eligible.

Eligibility and age

Candidates need a Master’s Degree / MBA / 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in a relevant or allied discipline from a recognised university or institution, with a minimum of 60% marks throughout academic years (or equivalent CGPA). Ph.D. candidates in Management or a relevant discipline may also be considered. Maximum age is 32 years as on the last date of application (extendable to 35 years for Ph.D. holders or candidates with relevant experience); category relaxations apply as per Central Government rules.

Stipend and selection

Post-graduates receive about ₹45,000–₹55,000 per month and Ph.D. holders about ₹60,000–₹70,000 per month, plus housing, travelling and mobile allowances as notified. Engagement is fixed-term (up to two years, extendable to a maximum total of four years) with no claim to regularisation. Selection may include a written test, skill/competency test and/or interview as decided by the Institute.
