Job Description

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited online applications for the post of Hindi Officer (Grade E) on a regular basis at IBPS, Mumbai, under Advertisement No. IBPS/2026-27/04. Applications are open from 23 September 2026 to 6 October 2026, and the selection process is scheduled for October 2026. IBPS says successful candidates will fill the existing vacancy and a six-month wait list will be kept.

Eligibility

Candidates need a Master's degree from a recognised university in one of these combinations: Hindi with English as a major or elective subject at graduation; English with Hindi as a major or elective subject at graduation; any other subject with Hindi as a major or elective subject and English as the medium of examination at degree level; or any other subject with English as a major or elective subject and Hindi as the medium of examination at degree level. Degrees through correspondence, distance or open university are not accepted. Candidates must be able to type translated text in Hindi and English in MS Word and Excel. One year of English-Hindi translation experience in a bank or financial institution is desirable, and exposure to AI-based translation tools is an added advantage.
