Eligibility

Bachelor of Library and Information Science or equivalent from a Government-recognised university
Preferably a Degree in Law
Certificate of basic computer knowledge as prescribed by the State Government
Sufficient knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi
Two years’ experience of working in a well-organised library after obtaining the degree

Selection

Selection is by Main Written Examination (Objective Type-MCQs, 100 marks) followed by Viva-voce (40 marks). Candidates generally need a minimum of 50% in the written exam to be considered for viva. Final merit is based on aggregate marks in both stages.
