Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has invited online applications through the OJAS Gujarat portal for direct recruitment to Helper posts on a fixed-pay basis. A select list and waiting list will be prepared from this drive.

A total of 2,510 Helper vacancies have been notified (Male 1,684; Female 826), with horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen (502) and PwD (52). Online applications opened on 7 September 2026 and the last date to apply is 6 October 2026 (23:59). The last date to pay the exam process fee is 8 October 2026.

Eligibility

Candidates need a Government-recognised ITI in a prescribed trade (Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Automobile Body Repairer, Welder / Welder-cum-Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General or Automobile Paint Repairer) plus basic computer knowledge as in the notice. Age generally 18–35 years for General Male as on 6 October 2026 (relaxations as notified; maximum 45 years after all relaxations).

Selection

Merit is out of 100: Written Examination 90 + same-trade NCVT apprenticeship weightage 10, followed by document verification. The written paper is 100 MCQs / 100 marks / 2 hours with 0.25 negative marking.
