Border Roads Organisation Recruitment 2026 - 899 Posts of Electrician, Multi-Skilled Worker and Other Technical Posts

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under the Ministry of Defence has released a recruitment notification for 899 posts of Electrician, Multi-Skilled Worker (Mason, Carpenter, etc.), Store Keeper and other technical and non-technical categories for its ongoing border road projects across India.

• Posts are primarily for construction, maintenance and electrification work in remote, high-altitude and difficult border terrains of Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and other strategic areas.
• Educational qualification for technical posts like Electrician and Junior Technician is generally 10th pass + ITI in the relevant trade or 10th pass with experience in the concerned field. For Multi-Skilled Worker posts, 10th pass with trade experience is required.
• Age limit is usually between 18 to 30/35 years with relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per government of India rules applicable to BRO.
• Selected candidates will be posted in challenging locations and will be provided with accommodation, medical facilities, risk allowance and other benefits applicable to defence civilian employees.
• Pay scales are as per 7th CPC recommendations with additional allowances for working in difficult areas. The job offers good career progression opportunities within the organisation.
