SSC CGL 2026 Recruitment

The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC CGL 2026 recruitment for various Group B and Group C posts in Central Government Ministries/Departments.

Total Vacancies: 12,256 (tentative)

• Posts: Assistant Section Officer, Inspector (Central Excise/Preventive Officer), Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub-Inspector (CBI), Assistant Audit Officer, Junior Statistical Officer and many more.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Some posts require specific subjects.
• Age Limit: 18 to 32 years (relaxation as per category: SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen).
• Selection Process: Tier-I (CBT) → Tier-II (CBT) → Tier-III (Descriptive) → Tier-IV (Skill Test / CPT / Document Verification) → Medical Examination.
• Application Fee: ₹100 for General / OBC / EWS. SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / Women candidates are exempted.
• Important Dates: Notification released May 2026 | Online Application active till 22 June 2026 | Tier-I Exam dates to be announced soon.
• How to Apply: Apply online only through official website ssc.gov.in. Complete one-time registration first.
• Salary: Pay Level 4 to Level 8 (₹25,500 to ₹1,51,100) + allowances as per 7th CPC.
• Admit Card: Will be available on regional SSC websites 3-4 days before Tier-I exam.
