Concept

MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. India has a National Strategy and Roadmap for MICE tourism, aiming to grow its share of the global business-events market (ministry communications have cited roughly 5% global share). At least 10 cities, particularly in South India, have been flagged for development as global MICE destinations.

Flagship venues include Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi (Delhi) and Jio World Centre (Mumbai). MICE links tourism forex, city infrastructure, aviation connectivity and soft power.

Why aspirants care
