What happened
Policy briefings linked to the maritime/tourism package note that the Modified UDAN scheme for 2026–27 to 2035–36 carries an approved outlay of about ₹28,840 crore, with plans referencing 100 airports and 200 modern helipads. Cumulatively, hundreds of RCS-UDAN routes (reports cite 687 routes connecting 95 airports) have been operationalised under the broader UDAN journey since 2016.
